A small shop, building best-in-category modules.
neuroplugin is a focused operation: a handful of plugins, each one trying to be the best in its category. We don't run a marketplace of forty mediocre modules. We pick categories that matter — search, compliance, conversion — and bet the company on making the best one in each.

How we ship
Every plugin is built and supported by the maker — not a marketplace ticket queue. We follow a tight loop: ship a focused first version, sell it on PrestaShop Addons and here, gather feedback from real buyers, ship the next version 4–6 weeks later.
Our /ops backend watches PrestaShop, WordPress, and WooCommerce upstream releases every 6 hours and automatically schedules a compatibility test for every plugin we sell. That's why a plugin you bought today still works after the next core release — we tested it before you noticed.
How we price
Plugins are software, not service. Once a plugin is written, the marginal cost of selling one more copy is roughly zero. Recurring SaaS pricing in this category is a vendor margin choice, not a cost-driven necessity.
So we sell one-time. PrestaShop modules are €49–€129 one-time + 12 months of updates included. An optional renewal (€19–€39 every 6 months) keeps you on the latest version with the compatibility-watcher coverage. WooCommerce modules are annual subscription (€49–€99/year) because the WC release cadence is faster — that pricing covers the continuous compatibility work, not platform margin.
If you stop renewing, you keep the version you have. Forever. No license-server phone-home, no kill switch. We don't think that's a virtue; we think it's the baseline expectation if you call something "owned software."
What we test before you notice
Operationally, the most fragile thing about owning a PrestaShop or WooCommerce module is keeping it compatible with each upstream core release. PS ships minor / patch versions every 2–3 months; WP + WC ship multiple core releases per year. Each one can break a hook, a controller signature, a template syntax.
Most plugin vendors handle this reactively — a customer reports breakage, they patch. Our compatibility matrix watcher does the opposite: every 6h it polls upstream GitHub releases and the wp.org core version-check API; within 24h of a new upstream release we run the plugin against it. If it breaks, we know first.
This is the contract that makes one-time pricing work. Without it, customers would be right to demand recurring updates as part of the price.
Where we focus
Three categories, by design:
- Search — NP Search for PrestaShop, NP Search for WooCommerce. The category where the SaaS premium is most visible and the self-hosted argument is most defensible.
- Compliance — NP AgeVerify for vape / alcohol / CBD shops. The category where data minimisation matters and SaaS verification services overshoot the actual regulatory ask.
- Conversion mechanics — WC Shipping Promise Booster, NP Rewards Pro. The category where the math (AOV lift, retention) is obvious and the SaaS recurring fee is hardest to justify.
We don't have a strategy for "everything else." If you need fraud detection, payment processing, or transactional email, buy the SaaS — that's the right shape of tool for those categories.
Who runs it
neuroplugin is operated by YCY Consulting and Investment SL (NIF B22450688), a Spanish limited company based in Madrid. We ship to customers across the EU and invoice with EU VAT handling. Our DPA is available on request for B2B customers in regulated verticals.
First validation
Within one week of listing NP Search on PrestaShop Addons — zero marketing — Cédric at ornibird.com bought it and migrated away from a paid SaaS competitor. That single signal is what convinced us to focus. The full write-up is in the Cédric case study.
